I don't use them but, many players do with Great results and they are not hardware intensive like the free texture pack is.

It seems the crashes occur when changing cells. It has been known to cause CTD for some players.

Many player's pc's can't handle the Free Texture pack. Not sure if it's the one you have installed. But, there was some issue with a Minuteman mod.

Nope, I don't see a mod that has been reported to cause CTD. It's possible that it is not mod related. I don't see the problem with disabling one mod at a time. I can usually play the game for mins before it crashes to desktop. So i think my problem is with the ini files, when i add the text lines that i need to run mods, thats when the game crashes on startup. They will be recreated upon launch as default. Just remove them one by one till you find the one that causes such problem? Its one of the things you have to be aware off when using mods.
